Tip No. 1
Most important of all is to always wash your hand knits before you store them, even the tiniest stains or odors can attract hungry moths.

Tip No. 2
It is best to fold your sweaters, (or lay them completely flat if you have the space) so that they keep their shape and layer them with pieces of tissue paper. Include sachets of lavender, rosemary or cedar (but please no mothballs with their harmful pesticides) as this will further deter insects that might feed on them over the summer.

Tip No. 3
Store your sweaters in boxes rather than bags so that they can breathe while they’re packed away and always choose a dark, cool, dry storage space.

Keep one sweater or cardigan aside so you are prepared for any unseasonable cold spells!
